Joanne Marie (Sweeney) Terestre

Joanne Marie (Sweeney) Terestre of Natick, MA and formerly of Brighton, MA, died unexpectedly on April 3, 2024. Joanne was born on November 10, 1958 to the late Jean & Robert Sweeney. She attended St. Columbkille’s High School, and lived in Natick for much of her life, but always considered Brighton to be home.

Everyone who knew Joanne loved her larger-than-life personality and knew what a devoted mother she was. In her passing, Joanne is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Albert. Her beloved children, Lindsey George & husband Timothy; Jill Diaz & husband Anthony; Alyssa Pappa & husband Thomas; Michael Terestre & fiancée Fernanda Nunes do Amaral. She shared her love with her adored grandchildren, Mia & Breanna Diaz and Ryan & Joseph Pappa. She will be sorely missed by her surviving siblings, Roberta, Richard, Barbara and Michael, her dear friend Kathleen Macleod, and an abundance of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents, Jean & Bob Sweeney, and her brother Jackie. She will be missed more than words can say.

Visiting Hours will be from 4:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 10th at Lehman, Reen & McNamara Funeral Home (63 Chestnut Hill Avenue, Brighton). A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, April 11th at 10:30 AM at St. Columbkille Church (321 Market Street, Brighton). The internment will take place privately later in the day.
