Lev Shakov Obituary

Beloved husband of the late Antonia Kutuzova and the late Inga Stepanskaya.

Devoted father of Natalia Kopylov and her husband Vasily of Stoneham. Dear grandfather of Andrei Kopylov and his wife Brenda of Los Angeles, CA. Cherished great-grandfather of Sean Kopylov. Dear stepfather of Svetlana Stepanskaya. Beloved step-grandfather of Peter Ostrovsky. Caring brother of the late Lucia Nenasheva and the late Albert Shakov. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Lev was a wonderful, caring man. He was an accomplished eye surgeon and professor at the Yaroslavl Medical Academy in his native Russia.  He was much respected and loved by his family, students, and patients.  He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.

There will be a memorial service at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 14th at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial will be at a later date in Russia.
