Hugh Gallagher

In Brighton formerly of Bealnamulla Athlone, County Roscommon Ireland passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on August 1, 2018.  Beloved husband of Agnes (Fahy). Devoted father of Michael Gallagher and his wife Marguerite of Brighton, Susan Beranger and her husband Philip of Needham, Sean Gallagher of Brighton, Patricia Clarke and her husband Ross of Braintree.  Absolutely adored Papa of Michael and Ashley Gallagher and Caitlin and Abigail Beranger.  Survived by his sister Maureen Faherty of Plymouth, his brother Eddie and his wife Barbara of West Roxbury and the late Kathleen Broderick, Sheila Witt, Nancy, Breege, Jack, Patrick and Michael. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends in Boston and Ireland.

Hugh was an active member of St. Columbkille Parish Finance Committee. Also, longtime director for Peoples Federal Savings Bank.

Funeral from the Lehman, Reen & McNamara Funeral Home Monday August 6th at 9:30am.  Followed a Funeral Mass in St. Columbkille Church 321 Market Street Brighton at 10:30am.  Visiting Hours Sunday August 5th from 3-7pm Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
