Jesus Sosa Obituary
In loving memory of Jesus (Eddy) Sosa, born September 12, 1933, passed away on May 20, 2019. Beloved husband to Rebecca Lopez Sosa & loving father to Mercedes M Sosa. My father’s family immigrated in the 1930’s from the beautiful island of Tenerife, Spain to Camagüey Cuba. It was in Camagüey that my father was born & raised. His father was a farmer & my dad grew up in the countryside. He enjoyed tending to the farm animals, swimming in the warm lakes of Cuba, playing baseball and horseback riding. He always had a passion for animals. He was a gifted shoemaker. My dad married my mom in Cuba and moved to the United States with some of her family, fleeing communism to begin a new life in a free country. My dad was hardworking, warm, gentle, friendly, honest, reliable, robust & handsome. I will always love you dad. You were my father, advisor, friend, hero and now my guardian angel in heaven.
