Joanne Dye Hart, age 72, of Hyde Park, MA, passed away peacefully from her illness on Sunday, August 25, 2019, at Vero Health & Rehab in Roslindale. Joanne joins her beloved late mother, Vera O. Galloway, her late sisters, Brenda (“Lulu”) Kendrick and Sadie Mae Watson-Black. Born in Kershaw, S.C., she moved to Charlotte, N.C. in the mid 1960’s, and, in 1973, moved to Boston with her family. In early 1983 she began studying with Jehovah's Witnesses and was baptized at the Natick Kingdom Hall on February 9, 1985. She loved having the scriptures read to her as much as possible since the loss of her sight in 2013.
She was the devoted wife of the late Albert Lee Hart and she leaves to mourn her loss, two sons Albert ("Al") Lantern and Edward ("Tiger") Lee Hart. In addition, Joanne is survived by a daughter-in-law, Ann Marie Hart, two granddaughters, Savannah and Alissa Hart, sister, Cora "Pennie" Cornelius-Bruner, brother-in-law, Michael Bruner, countless nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephews, and beloved family and friends.
