Kathleen (Connolly) McGloin

Of Newton and Brighton formerly of Claremorris, County Mayo, Ireland passed peacefully on March 3, 2019 at her home at the age of 96.  Beloved wife of the late James McGloin.  Devoted mother of the late Mary Rose, Nora and James “Jimmy” McGloin.  She is predeceased by her 7 siblings and is survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Kathleen found joy in her time spent in Knock, Ireland surrounded by family members. Both she and her husband looked forward to their visits home and cherished their time there.  She also spent many Sundays praying the rosary at St. Gabriel Church.  Come summer, Kathleen and Jim would head down to Marshfield where they spent many years.  She enjoyed staying in touch and up to date with family and friends.  Enduring heartache a number of times, Kathleen placed trust in her faith and we believe she is being rewarded now-together once again with her loved ones. 

Visiting Hours in the Lehman Reen & McNamara Funeral Home  Friday March 8th from 8:30-10am.  Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ignatius Church 28 Commonwealth Ave. Chestnut Hill at 10:30am.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.  Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. 

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Kathleen may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
