Passed away on October 30, 2018 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston after a nearly 30-year battle with cancer. Her family called her the Energizer Bunny. She kept bouncing back after each bout of cancer. She never gave up and fought her battle to the end with strength and courage.

Marie was born on December 19, 1946 to Celina (Roy) and Morton Henry Lessard. After graduating from Mount Merici in Waterville, Marie began her medical technologist career at Elizabeth Ann Seton Hospital in Waterville. She took many continuing education courses at various hospital in Boston where she was later employed as a blood bank technologist.

Her special niche was location art, capturing scenery and local views. One of her favorite spots was Monhegan Island, Maine. She would travel there each summer by herself and spend a week or two each year painting the scenery. Her art has been displayed in many art shows where she won many prizes for her work.
