Phillip Balasa Obituary
Of Newton, passed away on January 23, 2019 in his home. Loving husband of Barbara (Haskett) Balasa. Beloved son of the late Emery & Elizabeth (Elias) Balasa. Dear father of Anne T. Balasa of Newton and Emily & Dennis Bulat of Sudbury. Devoted grandfather of Logan & Cameron Bulat. Phill was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force, serving and earning a bronze star during the Vietnam War. Phill worked his entire career, as a Hospital Administrator in Boston area hospitals, including Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Waltham-Wellesley Hospital, and Nashoba Valley Hospital. Phill enjoyed sailing on the sailboats he owned, off Cape Cod and the South Coast area of Massachusetts (Swansea, MA). He also played golf with his friends in his spare time. A joint memorial service for Phillip and his late wife Barbara, will be held in the ballroom at the Newton Highlands Congregational Church, located at 54 Lincoln Street, Newton, MA on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 1:00 pm.
