Adele Trytko, 94, of Brighton passed away on July 18, 2023. She was the daughter of Joseph and Barbara Kuc Trytko of Easthampton, MA. Adele attended local Easthampton schools before pursuing a career in music education. She taught at Perkins School for the Blind for 55 years where she enjoyed many years. Her expertise was in organ, piano, harp and handbells. For 25 years she organized the annual Handbell Festival at Boston's Old South Church where bell ringing ensembles, including her own Perkins group, participated in mass ringing's. She was a well-respected member of the music community. Adele holds degrees from Boston University School of Music in piano and harp, as well as accomplishments with English Handbell ensembles. She has also taught at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY and the Vermont Conservatory of Music As a clinician she taught at handbell and Suzuki piano workshops and festivals, both locally and nationally.
Adele had held offices with the Boston Alumni chapter and the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers.
sSurviving nieces and nephews include Barbara Mullholland, Dr EJames Britt of Baltimore MD, Stanley Trytko Jr, of Easthampton Ma, and Elizabeth, Cathy, Paul and Brian Novak of Denver, CO. She is predeceased by her siblings Julia Britt, Stanley Trytko, Sophia Dragon and Jane Novak.
