Alberta Williams, 78-years-young of Arlington via Alabama, Georgia and New York, unexpectedly passed much too soon on June 19, 2020. A veteran tax analyst and advisor with an innate gift for numbers and over 27 years of experience at H&R Block, she provided scores of clients in Massachusetts and New York with stellar service that kept them returning for her expertise and friendly demeanor year after year. Prior to finding her true calling as an ace tax specialist, she slung drinks as a bartender at the famed Paschal's in Atlanta before transitioning to an 18-year postal clerk career at the United States Post Office. When those who had the good fortune to know her remember Alberta, they will recall an unfailingly warm, spirited, generous and compassionate person with a quick wit and sharp sense of humor who always had time for everyone. She loved her family, she loved life and she loved sharing of herself with others.
Alberta leaves behind her daughter Chandra; sisters Gussie and Druecilla; nieces Vertina, Sabrina, Sophia, Diane, Tamichael, Louisa, Victoria, Dorothy and Sonia; nephews Lance, Austin Jr., Curtis, Fra Gregory, Brainard, Anthony, Barry, Frederick, Michael and Xavier (as well as Leon Jr. and Timothy, both deceased); and dozens more extended family members across the United States. All will miss her sorely.
Family will hold a private memorial service on July 5th and Alberta will be laid to rest at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, MA at a later date.
