Andrew O'Connor Obituary

Andrew Patrick O'Connor, a lifelong member of the Brighton community, passed away unexpectedly on February 27, 2024. He was the loving son of Mary (Forde) O'Connor and her partner William Strahan of Brighton, and Gerard O'Connor and his wife, Clare, of Moultonborough, NH. Devoted brother of Gerard and his fiancée Alyssa Maziarz, Michael, Matthew, Rory and Tess O'Connor. Beloved of Jillian Deeb. Predeceased by his cherished grandparents, Simon "Frank" & Kathleen (Griffin) Forde of County Galway, and Timothy & Theresa (Kelliher) O'Connor of County Kerry. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins here locally and over in Ireland, along with many friends and brothers and sisters of the Boston Police Department.

Andrew found his calling as a proud member of the Boston Police Department joining the force in 2021. He honorably served the residents of East Boston (A-7) with distinction where he was loved by members of the community. Andrew will be remembered by his coworkers as a great police officer and as an even better person.

Andrew was a proud "Brighton boy" whose handsome smile, quick wit, and personality lit up the room!  He was an incredible athlete always on the move.  Andrew loved nature and the outdoors, especially when visiting family in Ireland.  He loved cooking for his family at the holidays, having attended Cambridge School of Culinary Arts.
