KERSHAW, Ann (McKinney) – known as Nancy of Belmont, formerly of Brighton, passed away suddenly on March 1, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Kershaw, her high school sweetheart whom she married in 1964.
Nancy was the devoted mother of Thomas Kershaw, Jr. and his wife Jen of NH, Karen D'Entremont and her husband Bill of Scituate, and Steven Kershaw and his wife Maria of NJ. She was the loving grandmother of Brady and Jillian Kershaw, Jaden and Javon D'Entremont, and Kayla and TJ Kershaw.
One of nine siblings, Nancy was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Fegan) McKinney. Growing up in Brighton, Nancy was a 1961 graduate from St. Columbkille's High School.
She was the sister of Joseph McKinney, Jill Horne, Peter McKinney, Mary Williams, Jean McKinney, CSJ, Stephen McKinney, and the late Ellen Bailey and Christopher McKinney. She is also survived by many wonderful nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and dear friends.
Nancy worked for many years at Brighton Marine Public Health until her retirement. She enjoyed time spent with family and friends and especially loved going to the beach, where she found great joy and peace by the ocean.
Visiting hours will be held on March 21, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Lehman, Reen, & McNamara Funeral Home, 63 Chestnut Hill Ave. (near Brighton Courthouse), Brighton. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A concluding prayer will be held at 4:00 PM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Nancy may be made to Bethany Health Care Center at www.bethanyhealthcare.org or to your local food pantry.
