Barbara Hutchings Obituary
Barbara (Leonard) Hutchings of Brighton passed away on February 27, 2026. She was born in Boston on September 4, 1958 to the late John and Mary (King) Leonard. Beloved wife of Thomas Hutchings. Devoted mother of John “Jack” Hutchings. Sister of the late Judith Leonard.
A lifelong Brighton resident, Barbara was a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph Academy and later took courses at Mass Bay Community College. After working for the Boston Police Department and Department of Defense, Barbara dedicated her life to being a full time mother as well as volunteering with several dog rescue organizations.
Funeral from the Lehman Reen & McNamara Funeral Home 63 Chestnut Hill Ave (nr Brighton Courthouse) BRIGHTON on Wednesday March 11th at 9:30am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Columbkille Church 321 Market St Brighton at 10:30am. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery West Roxbury. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting Hours on Tuesday March 10th from 4-7pmin the funeral home.
