While raising seven children, Barbara worked in Real Estate as a Bookkeeper and Property Manager, her career spanned over 60 years, retiring at the age of 85.
For Barbara, her most important role was being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. As the matriarch of the family, she was a warm and loving woman that opened her arms and home to many. Barbara was kind, patient and giving not only to her own seven children but to other’s that found themselves in her care. She was beautiful, strong, compassionate and full of great wisdom. Someone you could rely on that would never let you down. The host of many celebrations and holidays, she was the glue that held the family together. She wasn’t just a good mother, she was an amazing mother and a role model for all of us.
Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, a good book, Sudoku, jigsaw puzzles, vacations, sitting on the beach and boat rides. She especially loved her summer home in Megansett which was always open to family and friends.
