In 1947, Boniface Wa Mpinda Mande was born the son of Mpinda Oscar and Bangamba Louise. Boniface had three older siblings, sisters Mutshiudi Catherine and Nkita Godeleve and brother Lusansu Michele. He frequented his primary education in Kelekele and, subsequently, his secondary school in The Athene De Luluabour. In 1970, Boniface enrolled in Military Training. He completed his infantry training in '72, then specialized with the Military Police as Criminologist. In 1977, Boniface pursued further studies in Criminology at Centre Superieur Militaire, where he completed his studies as Army Lieutenant. Boniface loyally served his country with integrity, honor, and distinction. He was eventually promoted to Captain, and after many years of service, in 2003, Boniface was promoted to Army Major.
Boniface Mande passed away on May 12, 2023, in Brookline. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Kapuku Mande. Devoted father of Cathy Mande and her husband Cheick Nimaka of Boston, Madeleine Mande and her husband Ivan Kitenge of TN, Acheleine Mande and her husband Johnny Ekofo of TN, Yannick Mande and his wife Sandra of Templeton, Nancy Mande and her husband Jack Ramazani of Malden, Geraldine Mande and her husband Rocco Cuoco of Burlington, Jeansmine Mande and his wife Lesa of TX, Jonathan Mande of Brookline, Merveille Mande and her fiancé Glody Asumani of NC, Michée Mande of CA. He was also survived by 16 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
