Eulogy from Cesidio’s daughters
We are sad and in the same breath so thankful to have had a father like papa and known to others as either Cesidio, Joe, Mr. Tempesta, and nicknamed "Riccete" or "Papashocka" by his San Donatese community. To help with the sadness, we reflect on his words of wisdom throughout the years. Such as:
To remember that our time here on Earth is about love and the lessons along the way.
To understand that when it comes to our tears to never feel ashamed of them because they simply are expressions of love. They come naturally in either times of great joy or in times of great grief, so let them flow.
To try your best and work hard in all that you choose to do.
To stay stable when life throws you the unexpected or heartbreak.
To laugh for smiles are priceless.
To eat well and always search for the best bread.
To keep hobbies. His included bocce, sewing, whistling La Traviata and cooking.
To appreciate all genres of music for it is food for the soul. He loved Claudio Villa, Pavarotti, Elvis, Perry Como, and Whitney Houston.
To travel the world when given the opportunity for there is great beauty beyond Brighton. He loved Italy, Disney World and to cruise.
To give to others with no regrets for it is better to give then it is to receive in this world.
We could go on and on with what papa taught us throughout his time here with us. It all truly shaped us and helped us navigate through the ebbs and flows of life.
He loved his immediate family with great passion including his wife Addolorata of over 63 years, his three daughters Lorella, Anna and Maria, his son-in-law John, his two grandchildren Gianni, Peter and his fiancee Kerry. He loved his parents, all of his brothers and sisters, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends. Funeral Services and Interment Private. There will be a memorial mass at a later date to celebrate Cesidio’s life.
We were blessed for his presence in our lives. We believe that he was greeted in the next realm with even greater love than what he showed all of us and he will be truly missed by family and friends.
Tanti, tanti baci papa! Grazie per tutti!
Sentiremo la sua mancanza! Riposare en pace!
