Christy Reid Obituary
In Watertown, of Freeland, WA, passed away on June 3, 2021. Beloved wife of Michael J. Reid of Freeland, WA. Christy was born in Brockton, MA to her loving parents Joseph & Katherine “Kay” O’Brien (Tully). Christy is survived not only by her husband, Michael, but also her mother Kay, sisters Kathy Graves (of Carlsbad, CA), Irene Johnston (NJ), and her brothers, Michael (LA, CA) and Kevin (VA). Christy worked as an accomplished chef in the restaurant and food industry after graduating from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. Christy always made family and friends feel at home wherever she lived because of her graciousness and hospitality. She had a profound appreciation of gardening and the natural wildlife in her surroundings.
A memorial service celebrating Christy’s life will be held in St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 6628 Santa Isabel Street, Carlsbad, CA on July 12th, at 11 AM. A reception will follow at her sister Kathy Graves home.
