Dorothy A. (Carey) Darwin

DARWIN, Dorothy A. (Carey) of Salem, NH, formerly of Andover, Osterville, and Brighton, passed away on August 21, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Richard M. Darwin. Devoted mother of Carey E. Sullivan and her husband Paul of Newbury, NH, Susan M. Darwin and her husband Dean D’Eramo of Grapevine, TX, Laura A. Sullivan and her husband Donald of North Reading, Kate M. Darwin and her husband Patrick Liedtka of Wyncote, PA, and Patti C. Darwin and her husband Scott Reese of Elkins Park, PA. Dear sister of the late Arthur Carey, Jr. Loving grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Mom, Dot, Dottie, Damie and sometimes Mrs. D, at 91 she lived a long joyful loving life. She’s resting peacefully, reunited with Dick, Michael and so many loved ones. Her soul is free.
Dottie’s legacy is her family, her large raucous crew. She loved family celebrations, the more the merrier and always came dressed to party. She was blessed to call many places home Brighton, Meadville, Andover and Osterville. She found beautiful friends along the way who brought joy and love to her world.
She loved us all- Damie will be missed but never forgotten.
Funeral from the Lehman Reen & McNamara Funeral Home, 63 Chestnut Hill Ave. (nr. Brighton Courthouse) BRIGHTON on Monday, August 26th at 11:30am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Columbkille Church, 321 Market St., Brighton at 12:30pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. Visiting Hours Sunday, August 25th from 2:00pm to 6:00pm in the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to the Michael R.
