Edward James Hynds resident of Watertown, formerly of Bellingham, Brighton and Allston, MA. Passed away on December 10, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Joyce A. (Sullivan) Hynds. Devoted father of David Hynds and his wife Katie Dunks of Belmont, Catherine Hynds and her husband Matt Jensen of WA, and Christopher Hynds and his wife Robin of NH. Dear son of the late John and Annie (Coyle) Hynds. Brother of the late John, Michael "Joe", Henry "Harry", and Robert "Bobby" Hynds, Maria "Mary" Lewis, George Hynds, Frances "Franny" Hynds, and Ann Paino. Loving grandfather of Lucy, Rowan, Declan, Kyle, Celia, and Aidan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and his sister-in-law.
Edward was a longtime member of the VFW Post 7272 in Bellingham. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War Era. He was also a member of the Carpenter's Union Local 33. Ed was a beautiful tenor with perfect pitch, and sang his entire life.
A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Anthony's Church, 43 Holton St, Allston on December 28th at 11am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Private."
