It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Edward (Eddy) Joseph O’Dwyer of Brockton who entered into eternal rest at the age of 76. As a graduate of North Cambridge Catholic and Boston College (1968) Eddy was an avid Patriots fan, attending many games at Sullivan stadium with his father-in-law, in what he called the “years that built character”.
After graduating from college, Eddy he began a job in the insurance industry, where he met many colleagues who became friends over the course of a career that spanned 40+ years. Upon retirement, he continued his love for hobbies of baking, reading great literature and poetry, and walking.
In addition to other family, Eddy is survived by wife of 51 years, Moira (O’Brien) O’Dwyer, children Brian O’Dwyer and his wife Shannon Spurlock of Cumberland, RI and Helen O’Dwyer Lisacki and her husband Joseph Lisacki of Methuen, and grandchildren Dakotah and Sianna O’Dwyer.
Eddy was predeceased by his parents, Mary O’Dwyer and Thomas C. O’Dwyer of Cambridge.
