Edward E. O’Sullivan, of Naples, FL, passed away on June 10, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on August 4, 1956, in Queens, NY, he was the youngest son of Eugene and Ann O’Sullivan. He spent his childhood in Queens, NY, before moving to Ft. Lauderdale, FL, where he attended high school at St. Thomas Aquinas. He went on to study at Boston College (‘78), where he graduated with a B.A. in Political Science. He later earned a J.D. from New England School of Law (‘82) and an M.B.A from Boston University Questrom School of Business (‘19).
A consummate entrepreneur and business professional, he founded and operated businesses in various sectors, including government relations, technology, and advertising. In recent years, he traveled across the world representing multiple growth-stage companies.
Edward was involved in many charitable endeavors, including Best Buddies Massachusetts and Rhode Island, where he served on the Board for several years. Additionally, he enjoyed coaching his children's youth sports teams in Duxbury, MA.
Known for his kindness, generosity, and outgoing personality, Edward had a remarkable ability to connect with people and make friends wherever he went.
In his personal time, Edward enjoyed being with family and friends on Cape Cod and in Naples, FL. He loved traveling with his wife, Cathleen, visiting his children in Connecticut and New Jersey, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren.
Edward was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Steven. He is survived by his wife, Cathleen; his children, Caralyne Reinhardt (Dale), Michael (Dana), and Matthew (Catharine); his grandchildren, Molly, Miles, Teddy, Patrick, Bria, and Brody; and his sister, Carol.
A Vigil for the Deceased will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lehman, Reen & McNamara Funeral Home in Brighton, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish in Chestnut Hill, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Edward’s memory to Best Buddies Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
