Elizabeth Bohenko Obituary

Elizabeth (Mahoney) Bohenko, 78, of Lowell passed away peacefully, July 25, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Lowell on November 22, 1939, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Eileen and John Mahoney.  She attended school at St Patrick’s and Keith Academy in Lowell. She was a lifelong resident of the Highlands section of Lowell.  She was a communicant of Saint Margaret Parish.

Elizabeth devoted  herself to her family and will forever be remembered as an outstanding caregiver.  Through the years, she loved  watching her five sons play baseball at Callery Park in Lowell.  She cherished her five sons and loved spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth is survived by her five sons Gregory of Manchester, NH; Eric and his wife Adele of Las Vegas NV; Joseph and his wife Susan of North Andover, MA; David and his wife Erin of Lowell, MA; and Stephen of Chelsea, MA.  She leaves ten grandchildren, Gregory, Gannon, Jacob, Joy, Noah, Jaedyn, Lindsey, Taya, James, and Meghan Bohenko.   She was the sister of John Mahoney of Florida and Mary Lou Wilder of Lowell. She was predeceased by brothers Richard and James Mahoney.  A memorial mass will be held in her honor on Saturday, July 28th at 10:00 am at St Margaret Parish located at 374 Stevens Street in Lowell.
