Ellen “Fran” Cogavin of Brighton formerly of Dorchester passed away on December 31, 2023. Loving daughter of the late Thomas and Ellen M. (Mahon) Cogavin. Devoted sister of Mary J. Broe and her late husband Jack of Norwood, Kathy Hogan and her husband Mike of North Chelmsford. Cherished aunt of Maureen Dodig and her husband Victor of Toronto, Canada, Kerry Broe of Brighton, Carole Hurley and her husband Tim of Hingham, Michael Hogan and his wife Jeanne of Tewksbury, Melissa Hogan and her partner Bill Carver of Marshfield, Mark Hogan and his wife Lindsay of Chelmsford. Also survived by 12 grandnieces and grandnephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass in St. Ignatius Church 28 Commonwealth Ave Chestnut Hill on Thursday January 11th at 10am. Interment Private.
Fran was a longtime member of the Veronica B. Smith Senior Center Brighton.
