Gerard T. Griffin of Newton formerly of Brighton passed away on April 11, 2025, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease and Lewy Body Dementia surrounded by his family. Gerard always had a smile on his face and a helping hand to offer. He loved his cafe' latte in the morning and could be found at the Stockyard for fish and chips every Friday night. He was happy to see you and everyone was happy to see him. His hugs were priceless. Gerard was a licensed builder who was working at Boston University before he retired. He was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Beloved wife of Pamela McGrath. Loving son of the late Catherine (Meade) and Michael Griffin. Devoted brother of Margaret Shannon and her husband Robert of Carver, Catherine Wood and her late husband Bruce of Quincy, Michael Griffin and his wife Carol of Cohasset, Patricia Dinjian and her husband Kenneth of Watertown, Thomas Griffin of Brighton and the late John Griffin. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral from the Lehman Reen and McNamara Funeral Home 63 Chestnut Hill Ave BRIGHTON on Friday April 25th at 10:30am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Columbkille Church 321 Market St Brighton at 11:30am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting Hours on Thursday April 24th from 4-7pm in the funeral home.
