Gerard “Gary” Radzikowski of Brighton, formerly of Buffalo, NY passed away at home on May 12, 2024. Beloved husband of Carol (Gilligan) Radzikowski. Devoted father to Alec Radzikowski and his wife Melissa of North Reading, Megan Niles and her husband Chris of Boxboro. Loving “Grampy” to Sam, Rhys, Henry, Emmett, Leo, Lucas and Effie. Son of John A. and Alice M. (Jelinski) Radzikowski. Brother of John Radzikowski, Paul Radzikowski and his wife Gail, Marcia Siar and her husband Richard, Margaret Pfeiffer and her husband Richard, Judith Butler and her husband Timothy and the late Bernadette Radzikowski. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Gary had a larger-than-life personality who focused on making sure those he loved had everything they needed (and more). He was extremely proud of his Buffalo roots and loved his family more than words can express.
Gary’s sense of humor was only outmatched by his selflessness, resourcefulness, work ethic and intellect. He was a beloved co-worker throughout his career in Materials Management at St. Elizabeth’s (Brighton), St. Margaret’s (Dorchester) and Harrington Hospital (Southbridge). He took great pride in being a friend and mentor to all. He left an immeasurable impact on youth sports, coaching his son’s teams and supported his wife and daughter’s passion for horseback riding. Gary was passionate about sports (especially the Buffalo Bills), cooking (his grilling skills were unmatched), and enjoyed being in the sun and riding his bike on the Charles River.
Gary’s Celebration of Life will be held at the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, MA on June 28th from 11am-2pm. If desired, donations in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
