Ilene H Rudman, age 79, of Maynard, Massachusetts on Sunday, July 7, 2024. Daughter of the late Isadore and Lillian (Barmack) Hillman. Loving mother of Jonah Rudman and his wife Stacy. Fun-loving, devoted and proud “Gammy” of Holden and Lincoln. Dear sister of Anita (Hillman) Checket and her husband Dick, and the late Emily DeWitt and her surviving husband Tom. Affectionate aunt to nieces Karen, Ilyse, Justine, Ashley and their families.
Ilene lived a spirited and spiritual life full of art,nature and travel, and dedicated her professional career to helping others. A voracious reader and a published poet, Ilene enjoyed nothing more than to give books to her family and friends. Ilene loved to learn, and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, and two master's degrees, from Harvard University and from Lesley University. Later in life, Ilene became deeply involved with her local Unitarian Church, where she served in a number of roles, including helping create a memorial garden.

A celebration of Ilene’s life will be held at the First Parish Church of Stow & Acton on Saturday, July 13th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Ilene’s life are encouraged to make a donation in her name to her church at https://fpc-stow-acton.org/donate
