Obituary
Born October 12, 1936 in Mombasa, Kenya the eldest child to Vishnu Mitra Mohindra and Savitri Devi Mohindra née Gajree. She leaves her dear brothers Suniti, Subodh, and Naresh Mohindra along with their spouses, children, grandchildren, and her dear niece Jyotika (Jo) Hammonds née Mohindra, daughter of late brother Karun along with her daughter.
Graduate of Lady Irwin College, New Delhi, India 1953, Northampton College (now City University)UK, Doctor of Optometry. Recipient of the Robert Kennedy Scholarship (Kenya). Post Doctoral Fellow, Indiana University. Pioneer inventor of the Mohindra technique in 1975 used to diagnose color blindness in infants. Resident of Brookline,MA 1973-2000 and Jamaica Plain, MA 2000-2023. President Satya Sai Baba Center of Boston 1980-1988.
