Irene Sarno Obituary
Irene (Muscarella) Sarno, 89, of Boston’s North End entered into the presence of The Lord on June 3rd, 2024.
Irene was predeceased by her parents, Vincent “Jimmy” Muscarella and Victoria (Valenti) Muscarella, brother Loretto “Louie” Muscarella, sister Rose Muscarella, and her husband Carmen “Sabu” Sarno.
Irene was the most devoted and loyal mother to her only child, daughter, Tammi Sarno Contreras. There are no words to describe her love for her daughter or the love Tammi had for her mother. The love they had for each other was their treasure.
Irene was an incredibly loving Nana to Victoria and Ruby Esquivel as well as a great-grandmother to Joshua, Dylan, Nicholas and Jaxson. Irene leaves behind her sister Sally Jackiewicz of Revere as well as her favorite cousin Margie Miller. Irene also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Irene was a devoted Christian and lived a virtuous life and although there is no doubt that she ran into the arms of The Lord, she will be painfully missed by her family and friends.
We would say “I love you Mama/Nana” to which she ALWAYS replied, “I love you MORE!”
