James Brendan McIsaac of Brighton passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2026. Jim leaves behind his wife and best friend Donna (McMorrow) McIsaac and their two children Erin McIsaac and Liam McIsaac; he was the loving son of Judy McIsaac-Hughes and the late John R. McIsaac, the cherished brother of Jack McIsaac (Ellen) and Megan McIsaac. He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and cousins. JMac leaves behind countless friends who will sadly miss him but will forever remember him fondly and with great joy.
JMac graduated from Boston Latin School in 1985 and attended U-Mass Amherst. He worked for many moving companies over the years, then became an independent mover travelling across the country leaving an indelible and memorable impression on all who met him.
Jim was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He loved playing softball, basketball, wiffleball, darts and cards. He was an encyclopedia of useless knowledge including quotes from movies and songs from artists that no one liked or ever heard of. His greatest joy was his children. He loved visiting Erin in New Orleans and sharing meals and her many remarkable accomplishments. He loved watching Liam’s ice hockey career and other sporting events. He especially loved taking Liam and friends to watch the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA. Jim’s heart, passion and greatest love was his wife, Donna with whom he would have celebrated their 30th anniversary later this month. Jim cherished his mom, brother and sister and his many great qualities and characteristics were instilled in him by his loving relationships with them.
