Jane Hurley O'Connor

Jane Hurley O’Connor of Newton passed away on September 1, 2024 surrounded by loved ones after a long and wonderful life.  Beloved wife of the late Joseph Taffe O’Connor.  Beloved and inimitable mother of Caitlin O’Connor (Rich Koehler) of Seattle, WA, Maeve O’Connor (Jürgen Brojatsch) of Brooklyn, NY, Neal O’Connor (Victoria) of Dorchester, Deirdre O’Connor (David Dalton) of Charlottesville, VA and Mira Shuman (Wes Acosta) of Wellesley.  Proud and loving grandmother of Eamon and Ronan Koehler, Rory and Oona O’Connor, Dashiell and Cormac Dalton, Dillon and Emmet O’Connor.  Beloved sister of Robert Hurley (Anne) of New Jersey and Maura Hurley of San Francisco, CA.  She leaves behind treasured friends, including longtime companion Peter Volante of Lexington, and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral from the Lehman Reen & McNamara Funeral Home 63 Chestnut Hill Ave (nr Brighton Courthouse) Brighton on Thursday September 12th at 8:30am.  Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ignatius Church 28 Commonwealth Ave Chestnut Hill at 9:30am.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.  Interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery on Cape Cod at 12:30pm followed by a luncheon to which all are welcome.  Visiting Hours on Wednesday September 11th from 5-8pm in the funeral home.
