Judith Katherine Wilt of Chestnut Hill passed away on November 1, 2024. Loving daughter of the late Thomas and Katherine (Steffen) Wilt. Devoted sister of John Wilt and his wife Mary Jo of Houston, TX, and the late Thomas, Robert, Peter and William Wilt. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Having worked as a writer at the Pittsburgh Catholic Newspaper while attending night classes as Duquesne University, Judith excelled in both arenas, loving every moment. She graduated from Duquesne in 1967 and went on to a PhD in English at Indiana University in preparation for the life she always wanted – teaching. She began at Princeton then moved on to Boston College in 1978, where she wrote six books and dozens of essays and reviews. She retired in 2011 and continued to participate in Boston College activities for the rest of her life. She will be missed. By family, friends, associates and the multitude of students she educated and mentored.
