Karl David Pilson, MD of Brighton formerly of Reading, England and Sharon, Massachusetts passed away on September 27, 2023 after a long, courageous battle with malignant melanoma.
Beloved son, brother, uncle, brother in-law, cousin and friend. He was a gifted surgeon and this was his greatest passion. He was happiest when he was able to help people. He had many hobbies but his favourite was sailing and he was out on the ocean whenever he could be. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the World Wars, aircraft, naval ships and automobiles. He had a great knowledge and interest in history, literature and politics. He shared mechanical talent and ability with his late father and could repair almost anything. He also took great pride in his Irish heritage of his late mother, he carried a key chain with an image of the coat of arms of his mother’s family in Ballinamore, County Leitrim, Ireland. Karl very much enjoyed the company of his nieces and nephews. He will be deeply and sorely missed and never forgotten by his family and friends. He is now resting in peace. Safe tides and fair winds to Karl. Donations may be made in Karl’s name to the American Cancer Society.
