Keith Garman Obituary

Keith Garman

October 18th, 1988- October 11th, 2022

Keith Garman passed away unexpectedly on October 11th, 2022 at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton, MA. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Richard Birkhimer, Pap Allen Geist, paternal grandparents Elizabeth and Howard Garman. Keith is survived by his life partner and love of his life Jasmin Palacios, his parents Kim and Phil Garman, sister and brother-in-law, Danielle and Zayne Jenkinson, nieces Aaliyah and Everly, maternal grandmother Jordean Geist, and his two cats Sherlock and Watson.

Keith was a 2007 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School where he developed a passion for ice hockey and the culinary arts. Keith attended Johnston and Wales University in Rhode Island where he graduated in 2010 with an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts and in 2021 completed his Bachelor of Science Degree. Following graduation in 2010, Keith worked at several of Boston’s premier restaurants in a variety of roles, including Chef De-Cuisine. He continued his combined passions for ice hockey and culinary arts in his dream job as Team Chef for the Boston Bruins Hockey Team.

Keith was an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America and was a 3rd degree Master Mason with Columbian Lodge in Boston. Keith was passionate about outdoor activities and was an avid fisherman and gardener. Keith was a gifted musician and was a talented singer, who sang in numerous musicals, and played the tuba and upright base for many years. A natural performer, Keith flourished in Boston’s comedy scene where he performed standup skits and solidified his role as his family’s favorite goofball. Above all, Keith’s personality and livelihood flourished in the kitchen, where he channeled his creativity and love into the meals he cooked for his family, friends, Bruins and staff. Keith’s generosity will live on as he gave the gift of life as an organ donor.
