Kevin spent his early years in Moon Township, outside of Pittsburgh PA. The family then relocated to Milwaukee, WI for his high school years. Kevin grew up a Pittsburgh Pirates fan and kept a framed photo of Roberto Clemente in his office. His son is named after the beloved catcher Manny Sanguillen, a cornerstone player for the great Pirate teams of his youth. Kevin transferred his love of baseball to others as a longtime coach of the Yankees in the South End Little League. He was also a player, known for his solid defense as a catcher. For twenty years he played in various leagues and as a Met in the Cambridge Men’s Fastpitch Softball league.

Foremost he was a MAKER, a fixer, a gamesman, from horseshoes to frisbee golf, a student of pirate history, an adventurer, a woodsman, a restorer, a builder, a treasure hunter, a creative workaround wizard.
