Laumont "Scott" Ricker

Laumont Ricker, affectionately known as Scott, was born August 15, 1980 in Brighton Massachusetts to Mariaelena Ricker and Wayne H. Dozier. Scott graduated from Brockton High School 1998 and went on to attend Massasoit Community College.

In 2005, Scott joined the International Brotherhood Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 103. As an Apprentice Electrician, he worked on various construction projects in the Greater Boston area, which fueled his appreciation for learning and teamwork. Additionally, Scott worked closely with his dad on construction projects where he did residential remodeling.

A natural leader with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit, Scott started several small businesses over the years, including a cell phone store and he owned multiple investment properties.

He was a family man and kids loved hanging out with him. Scott was extremely playful, humorous, and lighthearted. He found joy in teaching his daughters, nieces and nephews to rollerblade, ride bikes, play cribbage, chess and cards. He also enjoyed watching scary movies. One of his favorite holidays was Halloween where he would dress up and take the children out for trick or treating.

Scott was caring, considerate, and devoted to his family and friends. Regardless of what was going on in his personal life, he always made time to check in on his mom each day and spend time with those he loved. His calm, loving spirit will be sorely missed.

Scott was an artist at heart, he enjoyed drawing and designing tattoos. He had great taste in clothes and furniture. His appearance was impeccable; his T-shirts had to be ironed and starched and his sneakers were always spotless.

Scott is survived by his beloved mother Mariaelena of Hingham, his father Wayne and stepmother, Debbie of Richmond VA, his three daughters; Ariana Noel, Aariyah Rose and Ava Marie, his sister Thulani of Stoughton, sister Angella and brother-in-law Danroy of Boston, sister Reneeleona and brother- in- law, Jovan of Brockton, his brother Christopher of Jacksonville, Fl, his brother Jamele and sister-in-law Mari of Hyde Park, his sister Janay of Dedham, his aunts, uncles and adoring nieces and nephews who will miss him immensely.

Scott, your beautiful smile and laughter will remain in our hearts forever! You will always be a valuable part of your family and we will forever cherish our memories and be grateful for the time we spent together.
