Margaret "Maggie" O'Connor Obituary

Margaret “Maggie” Mary O’Connor passed away on July 7, 2026.  Born at St. Margaret’s Hospital on April 12, 1939, to Mary Bane and Matthew O’Connor.  Loving sister of Jimmy, Franny, Anne and Johnny.  Predeceased by the late Tommy and Paul.

Maggie loved to read and was an alumnus of Boston University and San Fransico State College.  She taught elementary school kids in New York City.  Her passion was the arts as she was a painter and a writer.  She credited her brother Franny and AA for the over 40 years of sobriety.  The baristas at Whole Foods knew how to make her expresso.  The pharmacist at CVS showed her kindness.  Her friend, Mary Magner helped her navigate senior living at The Catherine White Senior Building.  Her oncologist Dr. Jacalyn Rosenblatt helped extend her life for over 2 years.  Her final days were joyful with siblings, nephews, and nieces taking her out to weekly appointments at Beth Israel.  May she rest in peace.
