Raffio, Marguerite Anne (Tramontozzi) in Naples, Florida on April 13, 2022, formerly of Brighton, Weston, and Westwood.
Marguerite is survived by her 5 children and their spouses: Marguerite and Stephen Poreda of Naples, FL, Joan and David Kittridge of Ft. Collins, CO, Nancy and David Quartz of Longmeadow, Maureen and David Kocot of South Hadley, Thomas and Ellen Raffio of Bow, NH. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and their families including 2 great-grandchildren, her brothers Gerardo and Francis Tramontozzi, and many nieces and nephews.
Marguerite was predeceased by her parents Domenico and Anna (Bianchi) Tramontozzi of Brighton, her husband of 62 years Louis Raffio, and her infant daughter Carol.
Born in 1927, Marguerite was proud of her Italian-American heritage and her Boston public school education, graduating from Brighton High School in 1944.
Prior to retirement, Marguerite was active in the Brighton Allston Brookline Lions Club and was recognized as a Melvin Jones Fellow for her Dedicated Humanitarian Services by Lions Club International Foundation. She also served as a United Ostomy Association counselor assisting Boston area ostomates and their families.
Marguerite had a warm hearted, generous, and out-going personality, she was genuinely interested in everyone she met and made friends of total strangers in only minutes. She will be greatly missed by her family and all those whose lives were touched by her love and her charm.
Funeral from the Lehman, Reen & McNamara Funeral Home, 63 Chestnut Hill Ave., Brighton Thursday April 28 at 9:30 am. Funeral Mass in St. Columbkille Church at 10:30 am.
