Marie Anne Leavey

Marie Anne Leavey, 84 of Brighton, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 11, 2022, after a long illness. She was the daughter of William A. Leavey, Sr. and his wife Stanislawa “Stella” (Jurkiewicz).  She was predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Thomas Leavey, William Leavey, Jr. and his wife Marilyn Leavey. She is survived by her nephews and nieces, Doreen Marie Anthony and her husband Theodore of Framingham, Stephen Leavey and his wife Donna of Mendon, Nancy Maley and her husband Robert of Florida, William Leavey and his wife Susan of Auburn, John Leavey and his wife Judith of Florida. Marie is also survived by her close family friends and caregivers, William O’Sullivan and his wife Pamela of Medway, Erin Palmatier and her husband Buzzy of Carver, Maureen Joy and her husband Kevin of Charles Town, West Virginia, and her goddaughter, Patricia O’Sullivan and her partner Michael Murphy of Malden.  She is also survived by numerous grand nieces and nephews.  Marie is also survived by her close friend Virginia Burns of Billerica. She loved spending time with the O’Sullivan clan and was so thankful for the care they gave her. She loved traveling with her close friends and gardening. She also loved spending time with her beloved cat “Cleo”.

Visiting Hours in the Lehman, Reen, McNamara Funeral Home, Wednesday, May 18th from 10:00am to 12:00pm.  Followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Brighton. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marie may be made to MSPCA-Angell Hospital, Attn: Donations, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130
