Mary Bowen Newmark

Mary Bowen Newmark of Brighton passed away on July 26, 2022.  She was born to Matilda Gallant on December 13, 1932 in Bath, ME.  Devoted mother of Debora Graham, Patricia O’Loughlin , Leah Bowen, and Beth Walter.  Beloved mother-in-law to Diane and Fran. Loving grandmother of David, Jason, Jennifer, Carly, Leah, Thomas, and Kate.  Great grandmother of Brooke, Brady, Brody, and Jackson.  Sister of Betty, Peggy, Ellen, Johnny, and the late Theresa, Leah and Judy. Mary, Mom, Nana, was a tough, courageous matriarch to not only us, but anyone who needed one.  Completely selfless, she was determined to give her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren a good life. We had so much fun together.

Visiting Hours in the Lehman Reen & McNamara Funeral Home 63 Chestnut Hill Ave. Brighton on Saturday July 30th from 1-4pm.  Followed by Prayer Service at 4pm.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Mary was a volunteer at the Veronica Smith Senior Center.  In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Mary may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Boston 10 Chandler St Boston MA 02116 or Home for Little Wanderers 10 Guest Street Brighton MA 02135.
