Mary L. (McKay) Dale

Of Brookline passed away at her home on Wednesday September 8, 2021 at age 84.

Daughter of the late Edgar and Beatrice (Lane) McKay.  Mother of Dennis Richey and his wife Michelle of Upton, Robert Richey of Boston, Edward Richey of Boston, Shirley Evangelista and her companion Henry Selik of Brighton, Catherine Casamento of Brookline, and Jennifer Dale and her companion Marcus of Austin TX.  Sister of the late Theresa Miller.  Proud grandmother of Raymond, Juliana, Colin, Cameron, Chloe, Camille, and great-grandmother of Jazmin.  Mary was predeceased by her granddaughter Ashley. 

Mary loved to garden, had an affinity for art, music and reading and a deep affection for animals.  While she took serious interest in events of the world, humor was an important element of her character. She had friends in many walks of life and family was important to her.

Visiting in the Lehman Reen & McNamara Funeral Home, 63 Chestnut Hill Avenue, (Nr. Brighton Courthouse) BRIGHTON, on Thursday, September 16 beginning at 10:00 AM, prior to the funeral service at 11:30 AM.  Interment will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery, Brookline.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary’s memory to Hope in Bloom, Inc. Hope in Bloom plants flower or vegetable gardens free of charge throughout Massachusetts at the homes of women and men undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
