Mary (Connell) Moran of Brighton formerly of Brookline and Kiniska, County Galway, Ireland passed away on June 26, 2022. Cherished wife of John Moran. Devoted mother of Bernadette Moran Lally and her husband Tom of Allston, Dianne Moran of Brighton, Shaun Moran and his wife Paula of Arlington, State Representative Michael Moran and his wife Helena Padellaro of Brighton. Loving grandmother of Michael, Ryan, Kaley, Kyra, Emily, Erin, Eleanor and Adelaide. Sister of Michael Connell and his wife Katie, Bridgie Hurney and her late husband Johnny all of Galway, Ireland and the late Joseph Murphy and his wife Nora, Katie McKenna and her husband Thomas. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Maybe as a child you rode on one of her many bike rides through the neighborhood or played a game of Spoons, joined her in cheering on the Boston Bruins, lost to her in a poker game, was in her European Health Spa group or tasted one of her delicious Irish breads…whatever it was, a laugh was shared, and her infectious smile and kindness welcomed you. Funeral from the Lehman Reen McNamara Funeral Home 63 Chestnut Hill Ave on Friday July 1st at 9:30am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Columbkille Church 321 Market Street Brighton at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery West Roxbury. Visiting Hours on Thursday June 30th from 4-8pm in the funeral home.
Mary was longtime member of the Irish Music Club.
