Obituary
Of Brighton, formerly of Dominion, Nova Scotia, Canada passed away peacefully on September 8, 2023, at the age of 81. Beloved husband of the late Carol Lee (Melanson). Devoted father of daughters Michelle (Michael) Shaughnessy of Watertown, MA and Alison of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. Loving grandfather of Ryan, Ashley, and Teagan Shaughnessy. Michael leaves behind his sisters, Eileen (Nova Scotia), Pat (New Brunswick), Betty (Saskatchewan) many nieces, nephews, extended family, and special friends who always cared for him as family. He was predeceased by his parents Helen (Nearing) and William (Bill) McIntyre, brothers Charles, Johnny, Willie and Joseph. Sisters Coe and Millie. Michael was a diehard Boston sports fan and could always be found cheering on his beloved Red Sox and Bruins.
Visiting Hours in the Lehman Reen McNamara Funeral Home, 63 Chestnut Hill Ave. BRIGHTON, (nr. Brighton Courthouse) on Sunday September 24th from 3-5pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Private burial will happen in the future at Evergreen Cemetery.
