In loving memory of Miranda Mullaj (1958 - 2024).
Miranda passed away on a beautiful fall morning on October 5, 2024.
Ever since becoming a grandmother, Miranda embarked on that role with persistent passion and dedication, just like anything else she set her mind to.
She’s survived by her two daughters, Ledina Lopci and Livia Lopci, grandchildren, Mark and Miriam Moroso, son-in-law, Mark Moroso, brothers and sisters and many family members that loved her.
Miranda’s life was neither simple nor easy. She was a deeply sensitive soul, who from a young age, displayed immense courage and initiative, rising above challenging circumstances.
Becoming a mother at a young age, she threw herself at motherhood. Her deepest love and devotion above all else was to her daughters, whom she loved unconditionally.
She had a keen eye for beauty and was creative, talented and resourceful. In her younger days, she enjoyed knitting, embroidering and crafting beautiful outfits for her young daughters.
Being exploratory by nature, she wore many hats throughout her professional life, but it was in entrepreneurship that she truly thrived, as it allowed her to express her true self. She was always eager to keep her mind and body active so was constantly in pursuit of new challenges and adventures.
Miranda was empathetic and made others feel at ease. She always marched to the beat of her own drum - perhaps not always understood, but always respected for that. She was a breath of fresh air.
She had a deep love for her homeland, Albania. She loved walking, hiking, biking, traveling, exploring, being near the water, celebrating life and savoring nature whenever she could.
As years went by, she chose to be closer to her daughters in Boston, MA. Not an easy chapter for her but one she eagerly embraced.
Sadly, just as she was about to begin another chapter of her life - one that promised more relaxation and time with family - she fell ill.
The last year of her life was hard but she loved living so she tried her best to fight the aggressive illness. She never lost her sense of humor even in the face of challenging times.
Miranda will be deeply missed by her daughters who not only lost their mother but their biggest cheerleader, by her grandchildren and by all who cared for her throughout her life.
Visiting hours will be on Saturday, October 12, from 11am - 1pm at Lehman, Reen & McNamara Funeral Home, 63 Chestnut Hill Ave. Brighton 02135.
A short service, 1-1:30pm will follow.
