Of Brighton, “Light of her Family’s Life”, formerly of Diamond Hill, Connemara, County Galway, Ireland, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her adoring family, on Saturday, May 7th 2022. She was 96. Beloved wife of the late Martin J. Moran, cherished mother of Richard J., Patricia A., and Maureen F., all of Brighton. Dear daughter of the late Patrick and Agnes (Gibbons) DeLacey of Connemara, Ireland. Sister of the late John William, Mary Ellen, Patrick and Francis DeLacey. Beloved niece of the late William and Dorothy DeLacey and Coleman and Margaret Hernon. Monica was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, and friend, who was adored by all. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her. Monica enjoyed family holidays, cooking, and caring for her pets. She loved to travel. She especially enjoyed cruising throughout Europe and the Caribbean. Her love and joy of life made an impact on everyone she encountered. People gravitated toward beautiful Monica and her warm heart. Longtime member of St. Columbkille’s Parish and the Irish Cultural Society.
Visiting Hours in the Lehman Reen & McNamara Funeral Home 63 Chestnut Hill Ave. (nr Brighton Courthouse) BRIGHTON on Monday May 16th from 8-10am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Columbkille Church 321 Market St Brighton at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment St Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
