   Monica Elizabeth Christine Pinto   12/12/1932-12/22/20  Our Christmas Star

Age 88, of Brighton, Massachusetts passed away on December 22, 2020. She was born and lived in Karachi, Pakistan for 27 years, lived in Kuwait for 29 years and came to the United States in 1989. She was an elementary school teacher for most of her working years and very proud of the kids she taught.  In the US, she worked at the Jackson Mann School in Allston, Mass. and later at several daycare centers including Bright Horizons in Kenmore Square, Boston, Mass.  She received her Bachelors degree at Wheelock College (now Boston University).

She is survived by her husband Clement whom she married 60 years ago, her son Anthony (Tony), her daughters Judith (Judy) and MaryAnn, her four grandchildren Elizabeth, Jude, Justin and Mathieu, siblings Palmira (Pam) Pereira, Emmanuel (Manny) Sequeira and Deanna Andrew, sisters-in-law Juliana (Julie) Menezes and Cecilia (Cecil) Pinto, brother-in law Francis Menezes and several loved nieces and nephews, their children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Cyril Ferrao, sister Lucinda (Lucy) Mendonca, brothers-in-law Anthony M. (Max) Pinto, Bento Pinto, Louis Pinto, George Mendonca, Oscar Pereira, Victor Andrew and sister-in-law Anne Sequeira.   She was a loving and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and teacher to her many students over the years. 

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass in St. Columbkille Church 321 Market Street BRIGHTON on Thursday December 24th at 9 am.  Funeral Mass can be livestreamed at www.brightoncatholic.org and select YOUTUBE  link.  We will not be gathering after but will have a memorial when safe after COVID times.
