Patricia Cooper Obituary

Patricia A. (Tillot) Cooper
Walpole, formerly of Allston, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024.

Beloved wife of Daniel Cooper with whom she spent 61 beautiful years. Devoted mother of Mark Cooper (BPD Ret.) and his wife, Paula; Cheryl Murphy (BPD Ret.) and her husband, Patrick (BPD), all of Walpole; Kevin Cooper (BPD) and his wife, Lucy, of Mansfield; and Brian Cooper and his wife, Maryann, of Windham, NH. Cherished grandmother of Caitlin and Jillian Cooper; Aidan, Harry, and Daniel Murphy; Noelle, Sophie and Trace Cooper; Nora, Luke, Evan, and Benjamin Cooper.

Loving sister of the late Robert Tillot. Dear cousin to Shawn McKenzie (BPD) and his wife Bettyann, and Ellen, her husband Rick and their son Shawn Furlan.

Patty has touched the lives of many through her unwavering dedication and boundless love.  As a devoted wife, mother and nana, Patty created a nurturing and loving environment for her family, embodying the essence of unconditional love and support.  Her professional journey included roles as a telephone operator at Albany Carpet where she met her beloved Danny and later at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital where she was known for her warm and compassionate ways.

Patty will be remembered for her passion for basking in the sunshine on the shores of Cape Cod, Ogunquit and Aruba.  She loved her pets, taking care of others, browsing Hallmark Card Stores, singing and dancing to Frank Sinatra and mostly “creep-mousing” her loved ones.  Patty had a generous “brag bag” of her children’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments.  She shared these with joy and a sense of humor, always inspiring others to celebrate their own successes.

Patty’s spirit lives on in the hearts she touched.  Her love and generosity will be missed but never forgotten.

A funeral service will be held from the Lehman Reen & McNamara Funeral Home, 63 Chestnut Hill Ave (near Brighton Courthouse), Brighton, on Friday, December 6th at 9:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony Church, 43 Holton Street, Allston, at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Brighton.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 5th from 4–7 PM at the funeral home.

To honor Patty, guests are encouraged to wear a splash of her favorite color, purple, as a tribute to her life and spirit.

The Cooper family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, doctors, and staff at the German Centre Schrafft Pavilion Memory Support Neighborhood for their compassionate care and support of Patty over the years.
