Patricia Ann (Downey) Mack

Patricia Ann (Downey) Mack, PMP, ITilv3 of Weston formerly of Newton passed away on June 9, 2023 after a brave fight with cancer at Massachusetts General Hospital.  Patty leaves her husband Bob, her mother Patricia Ann (Walsh) Downey, sisters Mary Murray and her husband Doug, Sheila Connor, Nancy Berry, Catherine MacDonald and her husband Michael, brothers John and his wife Kate, Richard, Thomas, sisters in law Lori Mack, Margie Wauford and her husband Ray, friend Todd Graf and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her father Francis X. Downey, Bob’s parents Dick and Barbara (Jenemann) Mack, brothers in law Stephen Mack and Thomas Connor. 

Patty was an accomplished IT professional, working most recently at Charles River Laboratories as Senior Global LMS Systems Administrator.  She received her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Bentley University and Master’s in Training and Development from Lesley University.  She was valued at work and at home as an advocate, mentor, counselor and friend, known to be generous with her time and talents.  Her care for others was genuine, and freely expressed. For one colleague, she found an Eeyore doll, a gentle reminder not to be too negative. 25 years later, Eeyore still sits on his desk, having followed him throughout his career.  The impressions she made are lasting. 

Wake in the Lehman Reen & McNamara Funeral Home, 63 Chestnut Hill Ave., Brighton MA, on Thursday, June 15th from 3 to 8 PM.  Family gathering at the funeral home on June 16th at 9am and then the Funeral Mass at St. Ignatius Church, 28 Commonwealth Ave. Chestnut Hill, at 10:00 AM. FUNERAL MASS WILL BE LIVE-STREAMED at www.harborview.live   Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.  Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
