Patrick Mee

Patrick Mee, 63 of West Roxbury, formerly of Brighton passed away suddenly on November 4th, 2024. Loving son of the late Margaret and Jeremiah Mee of Brighton. Patrick is survived by his heartbroken family, siblings William and his wife Paula of Westwood, Jeremiah and his wife Sonia of West Roxbury, Janet Flaherty and her husband Greg of Arlington, Mary Mee of West Roxbury and Eileen McGurn and her husband Kevin of West Roxbury.  Adoring Uncle Pat to Tucker, Declan, Jeremiah, Caroline and Thomas Mee, Nicholas and Christopher Flaherty and Matthew, Charlie, and Jack McGurn. Pat loved connecting with his many cousins in Ireland and his “Mee” cousins here in the US as well as with his Geaney girls. Pat is also survived by many dear and dedicated friends.

Pat was raised in Brighton. He graduated from Catholic Memorial (1979) and Providence College (1983). Pat was a proud Friar and an active alumnus. Pat worked hard, following in his father’s footsteps in the HVACR industry. He founded The Mee Group 25 years ago. Working for himself, achieving success and developing genuine friendships with his customers brought him great joy.

In addition to keeping up with his own work schedule Pat kept up with the schedules of Friar Hockey and Basketball. As a season ticket holder for many years Pat witnessed countless Friar games, including a National Championship. Pat lived his dream life attending sporting events all over the country, World Series, Stanley Cups, Super Bowls, and Final and Frozen Fours. He liked nothing more, however, than sharing these events with friends and family.

Over the years Pat enjoyed time on Martha’s Vineyard.  It was there that Pat would truly relax, entertain friends and family and play lots of golf. As an avid golfer Pat loved to get out on the course with friends. This past summer Pat organized golf outings for his nephews, memories they will cherish forever.

Pat will be remembered for his friendship, generosity and booming laugh. Patrick’s loss will be felt by many. Gifts in memory of Patrick can be sent to Providence College Athletics – 1 Cunningham Square – Providence, RI 02918 or givetopc.org

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours Friday, November 15th from 4-8pm at Lehman Reen & McNamara Funeral Home, 63 Chestnut Hill Ave (near Brighton Courthouse), Brighton, MA. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 16th, at 10:30am at St. Columbkille Church, 321 Market St, Brighton.
