Paul J. Murphy, Husband, Father, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle, Friend, U.S. Marine, Vietnam Veteran. At the age of 22, Paul enlisted in the Marines and served in the Vietnam War. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Corporal. As part of this service, he received the Vietnamese Service Medal, Vietnamese Campagine Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Unit Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the M-14 Rifle Expert Badge, in Watertown, formerly of Brighton passed away on October 17, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Mary B. (Horton) Murphy. Devoted father of P.J. Murphy and his wife Maria of Revere, and Marialena Leone and her husband Gary of Watertown. Loving grandfather of Anthony and Emma Leone. Brother of Mary Forrester and her late husband Gene, and the late Beverly Stratton. Brother-in-law of Edward Horton and the late Thomas and Robert Horton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours in the Lehman Reen & McNamara Funeral Home 63 Chestnut Hill Ave (nr Brighton Courthouse) BRIGHTON on Saturday October 21st from 2-5pm. Interment at Bourne National Cemetery on Monday October 30th at 2pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
