Paula M (Johnson) Dewar

Paula M. (Johnson) Dewar of Brighton and Osterville passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday September 20, 2022 after a long courageous battle with cancer.  Beloved wife of the late Donald Dewar.  Devoted mother of Diane Dewar of West Roxbury and Debra Dewar of Dorchester.  Sister of Joan O’Connell and her late husband Vincent, Lois Cohan and her late husband Joseph.  Sister-in-law of the late Joan Sheppard and her late husband John.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cherished friends. 

Funeral from the Lehman Reen & McNamara Funeral Home 63 Chestnut Hill Ave., Brighton on Monday September 26th at 9:30am.  Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Columbkille Church 321 Market Street Brighton at 10:30am.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.  Interment St Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.  Visiting Hours on Sunday September 25th from 5-7pm in the funeral home. 

Paula was longtime board member and volunteer at the Veronica Smith Senior Center, member Court Our Lady Presentation #1545 Catholic Daughters and an award-winning knitter. Paula’s daughters would like to acknowledge Dr. John Wain and Dr. Olga Kozyreva for the great care and compassion they gave their mother while undergoing treatment.
